BLACK & WHITE MAGAZINE
Looking Back – Looking Forward 2021 Photo Contest
Black & White Magazine is a quarterly publication for collectors of fine photography. Their judging panel selected my image “Coastal Wave” for an award in the Alternative Darkroom Processes category. The work was singled out by the panel for its “visual excellence and narrative interest” and will be published in the October 2021 issue of the Magazine.
Black & White established the Alternative Darkroom Processes category to “honour the commitment and vision of photographers willing to invest time and energy to produce truly unique and organic analog imagery.”

THE LIGHT FACTORY GALLERY
38th Annual Art Auction starting on October 22nd – 30th
I’ve donated two hand-coated platinum prints to this fund-raiser. This year the gallery has partnered with auction gurus, Leland Little Auction House, who will facilitate their event online, for an entire week, from Thursday, October 22 through Friday, October 30. Bidding will open on the 22nd, and the Auction will end with a “live” closing, starting at 1 PM on the 30th.
In addition to funding operation expenses, proceeds from this year’s event will go toward funding a newly reimagined community gallery and workspace that will feature local photographers and provide a place for all of their communities to come together and create.
All of the work offered in this year’s auction will be on view at The Light Factory gallery starting Thursday, October 22nd – Friday, October 30th. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday, noon – 4 pm, and by appointment. Please email Jenny at jenny@lightfactory.org to make an appointment outside of gallery hours.
